# Privacy model

> How groundedby handles your data - the evaluator runs locally, the waitlist stores only what its form shows, and future sales happen one reviewed session at a time.

Agent sessions hold some of the most sensitive material a developer produces: code, keys, customer names, internal plans. groundedby is designed so that none of it moves unless you move it.

## The evaluator: local only

The [evaluator](/docs/how-the-evaluator-works) reads files in your browser tab and keeps its results in memory. It makes no network request with what it reads. Close the tab and the results are gone.

## The waitlist: what the form shows

Joining the waitlist sends:

- your email;
- the side you picked (you use agents, or you build developer tools);
- your company, if you are a buyer and typed one;
- the page you joined from;
- from the evaluator, and only if you leave the box ticked: the counts on your card - sessions, hours, tool calls, agent names, product names and tiers.

We use it to email you about groundedby and to match you with buyers. We do not sell it or share it with buyers. [Privacy policy](/privacy).

## The marketplace: one reviewed session at a time

When the marketplace opens, these rules will hold:

1. **Nothing is uploaded in bulk.** You pick each session to offer.
2. **Redaction runs on your machine first.** Secrets, emails, names and paths are masked before a session is offered, and you see the redacted version.
3. **You confirm each session** before it leaves your machine.
4. **Buyers get only what you confirmed**, under a license that forbids re-identifying anyone in it.
5. **You license only what you own.** Sessions you ran for an employer usually belong to them.

## What we never do

- Scan your machine in the background.
- Read sessions without you picking the folder.
- Upload anything you have not seen.

## Questions

**Does groundedby use cookies or analytics on the site?**

The site sets no tracking cookies and runs no analytics scripts in your browser. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs.

**Can I remove my email from the waitlist?**

Yes. Write to hello@groundedby.com from that address and we delete it.
