Where the files are
In VS Code's globalStorage folder, under RooVeterinaryInc.roo-cline/tasks/:
tasks/
├── _index.json
└── <taskId>/
├── api_conversation_history.json
├── ui_messages.json
├── task_metadata.json
└── history_item.json
The setting roo-cline.customStoragePath may have moved it. Each task tracks tokens and cost.

| Linux | ~/.config/Code/User/globalStorage |
Keep it
The History view exported a task to Markdown (roo_task_<date>.md). To keep everything, copy the tasks folder. Cline, which Roo Code was forked from, uses a similar layout. Cline's storage.
