This policy explains how SecOne Inc., a Delaware corporation ("SecOne", "we"), handles personal data on groundedby.com and its related tools ("groundedby"). Questions go to hello@groundedby.com.
Summary
- The evaluator runs in your browser. The files you pick are read and counted in the page, and are never sent to us.
- The waitlist collects your email, the side you picked, an optional company name, the page you joined from and, if you choose, the counts from your evaluator card.
- We use that to email you about groundedby and to match you with buyers when the marketplace opens. We do not sell your personal data.
- The site sets no tracking cookies and runs no analytics in your browser.
What we collect
Waitlist sign-ups. Your email address, your role (developer using agents, or company building developer tools), your company name if you give one, the page or tool you signed up from, and the time. From the evaluator, only if you leave the box ticked: the session counts on your card (number of sessions, hours, tool calls, agent names, product names, session tiers and the estimated range). The counts contain no message text, code or file names.
Command-line opt-in. If you join from the groundedby command-line tool, it shows you the exact data it will send and asks you to confirm. It sends the same kind of counts.
Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard request data - IP address, browser user agent, the page requested and the time - to run and secure the site.
Email. If you write to us, we keep the message and your address to reply.
What we do not collect. The contents of your agent sessions. The evaluator processes files locally in your browser and transmits nothing it reads.
How we use it
- To send you updates about groundedby and tell you when buyers ask for sessions like yours, or when sessions are available to license.
- To understand demand: how many people join, on which side, and with what kind of history.
- To keep the site and the waitlist secure, including detecting automated sign-ups.
- To meet legal obligations.
Legal bases (EEA, UK and Switzerland)
We process waitlist data on the basis of your consent, given when you submit the form, which you can withdraw at any time. We process server logs and security data on the basis of our legitimate interests in running and protecting the service.
Who we share it with
We share personal data only with service providers that process it for us under contract:
- Vercel Inc. - hosting and storage of waitlist records.
- PostHog Inc. - product analytics on waitlist sign-ups, processed in its EU region, when enabled.
- Email and messaging providers we use to send updates and internal notifications.
We do not share your email or your counts with buyers. If the marketplace opens and you choose to offer sessions, a separate agreement will govern what a buyer receives.
We may disclose data when the law requires it, or to protect rights and safety. If SecOne or groundedby is sold or merged, personal data may transfer to the new owner under this policy.
International transfers
SecOne is based in the United States and our providers may process data in the United States and elsewhere. Where the law requires it, transfers rely on safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep waitlist data until you ask us to delete it, or until we close the waitlist without opening the marketplace, whichever comes first. Server logs are kept for the period our hosting provider sets, typically days to weeks.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, object to or restrict its processing, and withdraw consent. California residents have the right to know, delete and correct, and the right not to be discriminated against for using these rights; we do not sell or share personal data for cross-context behavioral advertising.
To use any of these rights, write to hello@groundedby.com from the address concerned. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Security
We limit access to waitlist data to the people who need it, store it in private storage, and use encrypted connections throughout. No system is perfectly secure; we will tell you without undue delay if a breach affects your data.
Children
groundedby is not meant for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We will post changes here and update the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use waitlist data, we will email the people on the list.
